I mutamenti/ cambiamenti di un territorio interessano al primo posto gli abitanti del territorio stesso. Una regione, una città, si costruisce non soltanto sui dati oggettivi del territorio, sulla sua conformazione, caratteristiche, infrastrutture e architetture… Ogni luogo acquista “senso” in quanto spazio contenitore delle esperienze delle persone che lo abitano, delle loro memorie (collegate al luogo stesso), del loro presente (la loro relazione con il luogo oggi) e del modo in cui lo immaginano nel futuro (se e come credono che il luogo muterà).

Il work-shop intende invitare gli abitanti di Byala a condividere l’esperienza del luogo in cui vivono nelle seguenti modalità:

3 pennarelli di 3 diversi colori: marrone (per l’oggi) / verde (per il passato) / giallo (per il futuro)

L’invito agli abitanti è di lasciare un “segno” sulla mappa vuota, rispondendo alle seguenti 3 domande:

PRIMA DOMANDA _un luogo esistente

Mi può indicare un luogo di Byala (o del territorio circostante) che è importante per lei? E perché?

SECONDA DOMANDA _la memoria di un luogo

Mi può indicare un luogo di Byala (o del territorio circostante) che non esiste più e che riveste un’importanza per lei? E perché?

TERZA DOMANDA_proiezione nel futuro

Come immagina sarà Byala (o il territorio circostante) nel futuro? Cosa ci sarà di diverso? Cosa non ci sarà più? Cosa invece verrà aggiunto?

La mappa diverrà una stratificazione di tre momenti, ognuno caratterizzato da un colore differente. Si sovrapporranno: una città che non esiste più se non nella memoria di chi la descrive (verde), la città di oggi trascritta/descritta attraverso le esperienze di chi la abita (marrone), e come, secondo sempre chi la abita, la città diventerà nel futuro (giallo).

The changes of a territory affect in the first place its inhabitants. A region, a city, is not only constituted by objective facts like conformation, peculiarity of the area , infrastructures and architectures… every place gains “meaning” as such space that contains the experiences of the people that are living there, their memories (connected to the place), their daily routine (related to the place today/ how they perceive themselves in relation to the place they inhabit) and the way that they can imagine the place projected in the future (if and in which way the place will change)

The work-shop intends to invite the citizens of Byala to share the experiences of the place where they live in the following ways:

3 felt pens, different colours: brown (today) / green (the past) /
orange (the future)

The invitation addressed to the inhabitants is to leave a “sign” on the empty map, as an answer to the following questions:

FIRST QUESTION_ a place that exists

Can you point out a place of Byala (or of the surrounding area) that is important/has a value to you? And why?

SECOND QUESTION_ the memory of a place

Can you point out a place of Byala (or of the surrounding area) that does not exist any longer, but that has a special meaning/ importance to you? And why?

THIRD QUESTION_ a projection into the future

How do you imagine Byala in the future? what will be different? what will vanish? what will be added?

The map will be composed of three "layers" corresponding to different moments, visualized through the colors. In the map are overlapped: a city that is existing only in the memory of who is describing it (green), the city of today described through the experiences of the people that are living there (brown) and how the citizens image the developments and the changes of the city in the future (orange).

Die an die Einwohner_innen von Byala gerichtete Bitte lautete die folgenden Fragen zu beantworten. Die Antworten sollten in Form von Zeichen (geschrieben oder gezeichnet) gegeben werden, die die Einwohner_innen auf der Karte von Byala hinterlassen sollten.

DRITTE FRAGE_ eine Projektion der Zukunft

Wie stellen Sie sich Byala in der Zukunft vor? Was wird sich ändern? Welche Orte werden verschwinden? Welche werden dazukommen? Bitte schreiben/ zeichnen Sie diese Veränderungen/ Orte in Byala auf die Karte (mit dem orangen Stift)!
